The Presidents System I want to talk to you about a Home Study System I created. I started off by becoming an E-Myth student, and was a student for five years. E-Myth is a company that helps small businesses become successful by taking CHAOS out of their business by implementing systems. At a cost of $9,666 annual fee. That was step one. Step two: I dramatically changed my real estate business in those five years by taking the waste out. That was the whole goal and it worked. My goal was just to run a better real estate business. You’ll understand the system I use when I hire them and my system is very unique. It is not the conventional way to hire. I leverage my time tremendously because I bring everybody in all at once. Talk about a HUGE TIME SAVER. In fact, I could never go back to the conventional way of interviewing job applicants. Never. I get to tell everyone at once what the job entails. I can interview 19 folks in 1 hour. Then I decide who I want to take another look at and they come back in for the long one-on-one interview. What do I do on the long interview? I have a 4 page form that I use to ask them insightful questions such as ’how do you get along with co-workers and how do you get along with your past boss?’ I don’t ask them quite that direct. They’re kind of round about questions but it’s getting to the same point to see how they play the game. And will ask, “what would encourage you to leave a job?’. That makes them think. I jot down some quick notes on each. Then behind it I have a page I fill out as they leave. It’s a rating sheet. What was their appearance? What their skill levels are. It is easy and informative. You just mark them, you add them up and you get a total score. The one with the highest score is typically the one you hire. I’m also including three page candidate questionnaire in the system. This is carefully crafted questionnaire that shows what makes each candidate tick. Where’d I get it? It came from the E-Myth Academy. I implemented it into my business. Works like MAGIC! Now let’s shift gears. Flow charts on your business is like being in an airplane looking down on your business. It is key to have these as you move forward in time and things change. Mine are in this book and they are o the Form CD so you can modify. One of the key and enlightening parts of this manual is the flow chart of a typical real estate business. Just so you know, you where ever you see a process box you need to have a written procedure (think system) for to remove waste from your company. Frankly you have systems now but they probably are not documented and therefore you or your employees can miss steps which in turn create some level of CHAOS in your business.
