tried them all but it was real estate that I kept coming back to because it always paid high dividends. I think if it wasn’t for real estate I’d be broke because of all the money I’ve lost in the other areas that I’ve invested in. So, in a nutshell, real estate is where I make all the money, and I don’t ever lose money in real estate, even though I’ve almost blundered into some difficult times.

I find that in real estate it’s easy to make money, you don’t even have to really
know what you are doing. You can just kind of blunder along and do fine, and
that kind of suits me just fine. Although I think I’m doing better than blundering at
this point after I’ve kind of refined it pretty well. It’s a safe, easy way to invest.

Yes, I hear that a lot. A lot of people go out into the stock market or some
place and if they have been in real estate they tend to come back to it, just
like you did. Let me ask you this: how do you go about finding a person or
a company to invest with?
Lee Parker
Well, we are talking private lending now. I have a little easier time doing that
because since I’ve been in the business so long, I know the people – like
yourself, that are doing this business. So, I know them, I know who I can trust, I
know who’s competent and I have a bit of that advantage. I simply hand pick
who I want to lend to.
If I were approaching this more as a novice – somebody on the outside if you will, who is not an investor, traditionally – I’d still be looking for somebody who I feel like I could trust, that I felt like they were confident in what they were doing. So, for me the risk would be minimal, and they weren’t going to steal me blind, more or less.
